Actor has improved their craft the most since their first big break in Hollywood

So last night I watched I, Tonya starring Margot Robbie
I was like hey! Margot is pretty good.
And as an Australian who remembers her in her early days in a soap opera called “Neighbours” I thought to myself, damn she’s come a really long way.
Like, a really long way.
Margot Robbie found herself cast in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street as the sexy supermodel girlfriend.
No doubt one of the best breakouts ever. Starring amongst side Leonardo DiCaprio in a Scorsese and having the entire world just lose their breath temporarily?
Lucky.
And now with the appeal of her beauty buzzing around the world she was quickly cast as Harley Quinn in suicide squad. I think you can agree with me by saying she was easily the best part of the movie. A perfect encapsulation of a carefree, zero-fucks given Harley Quinn.
Margot found her worldwide fame here as her iconic performance as Harley. She had piqued everyone's interest and the world was waiting to see what she would do next.
But she hadn’t proved herself as an actor quite yet. She needed something to prove to everyone that she wasn’t just a pretty face, that she was more.
Enter I, Tonya.
Now, no longer was she the thinly written sex appeal.
She was Tonya fucking Harding.
She played a fatally flawed, abused, unfairly treated but vicious skating champion. A layered deeply written character to which she portrayed nearly perfectly. She wasn’t afraid to take the leap and it worked
Margot Robbie had evolved.
She now revelled in her new found critical acclaim and was nominated for Best Actress at the oscars.
Next up was Bombshell.
Margot Robbie now found herself playing a sexually harassed news reporter working for Fox News.
She wasn’t the fierce bold and emotion heavy character she played in I, Tonya - now she captured the pressure cooker agony on her inside battle, a tensely resistant portrayal of sexual abuse.
On top of this Margot Robbie delved deep into accounts of sexual abuse. To fully embody her character she created twitter accounts to follow conservative young women and watched videos of sexual abuse.
She was again nominated for an oscar.
This wouldn’t be the last time we heard of her dedication to her character, we would soon see her consulting Sharon Tate’s sister about her role in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and eventually gaining her sisters full support to play Sharon Tate.
Not many people believed Margot Robbie had it in her to become a critically acclaimed actor after years of playing side characters.
But she proved them wrong, greatly.
Like I said, she’s come a long long way.
