The strangest facts about famous movies

  1. According to Stephen King’s novel ITPennywise the clown wakes up every 27 years. This book was first adapted for the screen in 1990, and the new adaptation was released 27 years later. Bill Skarsgard, who played Pennywise, was 27 years old during filming.
2. Pennywise the clown was inspired by a real-life killer and rapist John Wayne Gacy who would dress up as a clown and do children’s parties. He presented himself as an active member of the community and was known for entertaining sick children and raising money for charity.
3. Jackson Robert Scott who plays Georgie in IT has already worked on Fear the Walking Dead and Criminal Minds. Even though he is only 9 years old, he isn’t scared of clowns or zombies and always enjoys being on set.
4. Beauty and the Beast (1991) was the first animated movie to be nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category. However, The Silence of the Lambs won the prize in this category.
5. A hyena researcher sued Disney for "defamation of character" for its negative representation of hyenas in The Lion King.
6. The hands drawing Rose in Titanic belong to James Cameron. He also drew every single sketch from Jack’s binder. The famous director is actually left-handed, and all the drawing scenes were flipped.
7. Buzz’s (Kevin’s Brother) girlfriend was actually a boy made up like a girl in Home Alone. The producers thought it would be cruel to cast an actual young girl for this part.
8. In the end credits of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, it says: "No dragons were harmed in the making of this movie." Let’s hope that’s true!
9. Emma Watson was initially supposed to star in La La Land, but she had to decline because of her previously signed contract for Beauty and the Beast.
